The Challenge

Lippincott is a global creative consultancy with a long heritage working with some of the world's most famous brands such as Coca-Cola, Starbucks, Walmart and Chrysler.

The company required a strategic and creative business PR strategy that would support its international growth ambitions and position it as a leader in the field of strategic brand consultancy.

Specifically, Lippincott required a creative approach to their sponsorship of the London Design Festival. PR would be needed to drive footfall to the company's LDF exhibition; "Like me: Our Bond with brands", within the London Design Museum and build thought leadership exposure around the event.

The Solution

Simpatico PR assisted Lippincott with the creation of the central theme of the exhibition and advised on how this could best be articulated and leveraged in PR and marketing.

We pin-pointed a central question that Lippincott's exhibition posed: "Who's branding who?" are brands influencing consumers or is the opposite the truth? We used this thought to create intriguing pitches to media.

Dovetailing the event with an on-going thought leadership campaign delivering media exposure for Lippincott in creative, marketing, business and national media; we developed a consumer and b2b PR strategy designed to bring the "Like me" exhibition to the attention of consumers and opinion formers. Our content-focused approach targeted event listings, preview features, thought leadership and social media.

The Results

Like me: Our bond with brands is one of the few corporate exhibitions to have ever been invited to extend its tenure at the Design Museum beyond the duration of the London Design Festival.

The event proved so successful with corporate and consumer audiences that Lippincott plans to re-stage "Like me" in New York and San Francisco.

As well as receiving top billing in Creative Review's round-up of exhibitions to see at the London Design Festival and a double page spread in The Independent exploring the exhibition themes, listings coverage included:
