Case study: Rubicon Project - Adtech PR fuelling growth
Rubicon Project (Magnite) is now the world’s largest sell-side digital advertising platform. Its mission is to keep the internet free and open and fuel its growth by making it easy and safe to buy and sell advertising. Rubicon Project pioneered advertising automation technology to enable the world’s leading brands, content creators and application developers to trade and protect trillions of advertising requests each month.
In 2015, Simpatico PR was given a brief to re-energise Rubicon Project’s brand profile in the UK. Specifically, our B2B PR agency programme was tasked to position the company as a leader in personalised automated advertising technology.
We proactively leveraged press releases and research reports to deliver coverage and engage key tech and marketing trade journalists in Rubicon Project’s point-of-view and proposition briefings.
We also developed thought leadership to help promote and raise awareness of Rubicon Project’s key products and partnerships including: header bidding, publisher cooperatives, programmatic guaranteed, mobile video, location-based advertising and automation in gaming.
Results
We delivered consistent coverage for Rubicon Project in leading marketing, business trade and national titles.
For example, in 2016 we secured 61 media opportunities, including The Drum, ExchangeWire, The Guardian, Daily Telegraph, City AM and three separate pieces in Huffington Post.
Silvia Gorra, Sr. Director, Marketing International
“Simpatico has been proactive in shaping our PR programme and delivered consistently strong media coverage in trade as well as national titles. They have become an extension of Rubicon Project’s team.”
